Privacy Policy

ShanVoice ("the app", "we", "us") helps Shan speakers turn speech and images into Shan text and translate it. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is collected, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
In short: ShanVoice has no accounts. Your audio, photos and text are sent to third-party AI processing services only after you agree in the app, and only when you start an action. Your results are saved only on your device.
1. Information we do not collect
ShanVoice has no registration or login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or precise location.
2. Content you submit for processing
ShanVoice does not do speech recognition, text recognition (OCR) or translation on your device. When you use these features, the app sends the content you chose to third-party services that use machine-learning (AI) models to process it:

- This content is sent only to return the result to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train models.
- We do not keep copies of your audio, photos or text on our own server.
- All transfers use encrypted HTTPS connections.
- These processors handle data under their own privacy policies, which provide protection equal to or greater than this policy: Hugging Face, Google and Vercel.
Your consent
Before any audio, photo or text leaves your device, ShanVoice shows a screen that explains what will be sent and who will receive it, and asks for your permission. If you choose Not now, nothing is sent. You can review or withdraw your permission at any time in Settings → Data sharing with AI services. After you withdraw it, the app asks again before sending anything.
3. Data stored on your device
Your transcripts, scan results and translations are saved only in the app's local storage on your device. We cannot access them. You can delete them at any time in Library or in Settings → Clear history. Deleting the app also removes them.
To enforce the free daily limits, the app stores a small usage counter in your device's Keychain. It contains no personal information.
4. Microphone, camera and photos
ShanVoice asks for microphone access to record speech, and for camera or photo library access to scan images. These permissions are used only when you start a recording or choose an image. You can change them at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Other third-party services
- Google AdMob (free users only) shows ads. It may collect device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads. Personalized ads use your advertising identifier only if you allow it through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. ShanVoice Pro subscribers see no ads. Google Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives purchase and receipt information and an anonymous app user ID. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- OneSignal sends optional push notifications. It receives a push token and basic device information, and only if you allow notifications. OneSignal Privacy Policy
6. Children
ShanVoice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices and rights
- Withdraw permission to send data to the AI services in Settings.
- Delete your saved history in the app at any time.
- Turn off tracking, notifications, microphone, camera or photo access in iOS Settings.
- Contact us with any privacy question or request using the address below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top.
